What is Tutti?
Tutti is a curated matching service that connects music students with piano accompanists for exams, recitals, and performances. We handle the matching, communication, and payment so you can focus on the music.
Where does Tutti operate?
Tutti is currently launching in Sydney, Australia. We plan to expand to other cities based on demand.
Is Tutti free to use?
Creating an account is free for both students and pianists. When a booking is confirmed, students pay the pianist's quoted rate. Tutti deducts an 8% service fee from the pianist's payout.

For Students

How do I find an accompanist?
Submit a request with your exam details (date, time, location, exam board, grade level) and we'll match you with available accompanists in your area. You'll receive responses from interested pianists to choose from.
How does payment work?
When you select an accompanist, you pay a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. The remaining 50% is charged after both you and the pianist confirm the booking is complete. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. See our Refund Policy for cancellation details.
Can I contact the pianist before booking?
You can message matched pianists through Tutti's built-in chat before confirming a booking. Contact details (email, phone) are only shared after the booking is confirmed and paid, to protect both parties.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations more than 7 days before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations 3-7 days before receive a 50% refund. Less than 3 days before, no refund is issued. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

For Pianists

How do I join as a pianist?
Sign up and complete your profile with your experience, qualifications, repertoire, availability, and rates. Once submitted, our team reviews your profile. Approved pianists start receiving match notifications for requests in their area.
How long does profile approval take?
We typically review profiles within 2-3 business days. You'll receive an email and in-app notification when your profile is approved or if we need additional information.
How do I get paid?
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect directly to your bank account. You'll need to set up a Stripe account (we guide you through this). After a booking is completed and confirmed by both parties, your payout (minus the 8% service fee) is transferred automatically.
What is the service fee?
Tutti charges an 8% service fee on each booking, deducted from your payout. This covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and matching. Early access members enjoy 0% fees during the beta period.
Can I set different rates for different grade levels?
Yes. You can set a default rate and also create tiered rates for different grade levels (e.g., Grade 1-2, AMusA, Diploma). Students will see your rate for their specific grade level when reviewing your profile.

Bookings & Payments

How do I mark a booking as complete?
After the event, go to your booking and click "Confirm Exam Complete". This button only appears once the event time has passed. Both you and the accompanist need to confirm. Once both confirm, the remaining 50% payment is collected and sent to the accompanist.
What if I forget to confirm completion?
No worries — if neither party confirms within 48 hours of the event, the booking is automatically marked as complete and the remaining payment is processed. You don't need to do anything if you simply forget.
When does the accompanist get paid?
After both parties confirm completion (or after 48 hours), the remaining 50% is collected from you. The full amount (minus the 8% service fee) is then transferred to the accompanist's bank account, typically within 2-3 business days.
What happens if the pianist cancels?
If a pianist cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund regardless of timing. We'll also try to find a replacement accompanist for you.
Can I arrange rehearsals through Tutti?
Yes. Once a booking is confirmed, either party can propose rehearsal sessions through the platform. Rehearsal payments are held in escrow and released after the session is confirmed complete.
What if there's a dispute?
If a dispute arises, you can raise it within 48 hours of the event. Both parties provide their account and Tutti reviews the case. See our Refund Policy for the full dispute process.
